Zoo Day with Daddy
What started out as a "bad" morning for all, turned out wonderful. One of the days memories are made of.

I decided on Sunday, that on my day off we would go to the Zoo. It was supposed to be a surprise for Sterling, but Mommy brought it up during a conversation with him on Monday. Well, the morning consisted of a lot of whining and general grouchiness by all. We had a breakfast, toast, that wasn't eaten. We had some races, and left the house by 1045.

It was in the upper 60s, but the clouds were clearing. We loaded up and headed to Dallas.
We ended up walking around and enjoying each other and the zoo. We went to Kid's area and had hot dogs for lunch. Sterling got to pet some birds! We went to see the lions and one of them was "talking" to a lady. He was roaring like in the movies. Wee ended the day with icees and a couple of rides on the caraseol.
Sterling was asleep before we made it to 67.

Potty Training
Wow!

We're in the middle of Potty Training. Sterling has really picked it up. On my days off, I made sure that we went to the bathroom every hour. I had him sit on the toilet while I read books to him; we did this regardless.

One thing I started to do, but did not continue, was to create a sheet that we put stars on every time he tried. He got stars every time, no matter what. He really was proud.

The first time he pooped and peed was amazing. He got off the toilet and started dancing! We called Mommy first and he held my cell phone over it so she could "see". I think we saved that one until she got home.

He has accidents here and there, but everyone is finally getting comfortable taking him out in his big boy underwear. I had no problem; I would just carry and extra set of clothes for him. Granny and Mommy needed a little convincing. He's even going to Little Gym in his underwear.

Our little boy is growing up so fast.
