Last Friday, You and Mommie went and took picture! You look so big and cute. I'd been working a lot of extra hours lately and came home tired. I was at the coffee table eating chips and salsa, when you came up and wanted some. I gave you a chip to eat while I tried to finish the salsa before you put your fingers in it! You had one hand eating the chip and the other on my knee to steady yourself. You took your hand off my knee and stood there using both hands to eat your chip! I was AMAZED! WOW! Our son was standing up with no help! When I got Debi's attention, you decided to sit down and eat your chip! All this week, you've been standing up a little bit here and a little bit there.
Just think, when we're in Hawaii, you'll be able to walk around on the beach!

Hi, Sweetie...sorry but mommie hasn't written in awhile...you've been keeping daddy and I pretty busy. You are really crawling now and boy, can you move! We've had to baby-proof the house (again), picking up anything and everything that you can reach with your cute little hands, plugging up electrical outlets, hiding cords (because for some reason you have an overwhelming love for them), adding door stops (you are simply fascinated with the fact that you can make the big ol door swing back and forth), putting soft padding around granny's fireplace (it's your favorite place to stand and play) and the list goes on. Just when we think we have it covered, you manage to find something else we shouldn't have left in your way. You love to explore and it's just amazing how interested you are in everything.
On Saturday, Duke (Uncle Brian's dog) bit you on the leg. It was awful. You and I were just playing and I don't know if Duke got scared for you or thought you were in trouble or what, but you were laughing and the next thing I know, he had bitten you on the leg. I felt so bad that I hadn't protected you from getting hurt(especially since the day before, you had hit your head on the coffee table). I know my baby's gonna get hurt, but mommie was sure hoping it would be when you're 90, not 9 months old.
Mommie loves you...

Well the past couple of days were eventful.
We had some MAJOR STORMS come through. Tuesday night we had to stay in the bathroom, without power for a few hours while the sirens were going off! Mom was not handling it very well. You had fun. It was very hot, because the air conditioning went out the night before and was just fixed about an hour before the power went out. Twister was afraid and tried to get in the bathroom with us. The wind blew down a couple of fence panels into our yard.
The power came back on around 0230, and we survived.

Memorial Day Weekend
We had a blast at Granny's and Granpa's house. Swimming in the big pool. Playing with your cousins, aunts, and uncles. You had fun all day. Mommy and Daddy went to see Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Jimmy Buffett the night before. The next day was family day. We stayed home and worked around the house, trying to get some things up off the floor so you would be safe. We had a great time.
