We went to Houston to visit Grandma and your cousin, Diego.
You were a little darling during the ride.
I spent time with Mom looking at pictures; you entertained yourself with a metal mixing bowl and spoon. Loud, but you were happy!
You started crawling some this weekend. When we got back, you were in your crib and you pulled yourself up all by yourself! I was pretty excited, too!

You started crawling last Friday, April 16 2004!
It was just a few crawls; then you would be at your toys. You kind of looked like someone who fell out of a wheelchair. You would wiggle a little, crawl a little, flop down, and throw your arm to drag yourself. This weekend, you were moving all over in front of the TV and coffee table. You were trying to get the things on the bottom of the table and pull yourself up on it! We have to "baby-proof' tonight!
Now, everytime I put you down to change your diaper, you start rolling over and try to take off. You are a little ball of energy.
Sunday you had a record poop! It was everywhere, you and me. I had to put you in the tub to change you! I think it was because we started you on meat! ; P
Last night, while we were out eating, you dumped my tea. It was OK; it didn't get on anyone. Boy, you have a reach! People were stopping by our table to comment on you.
We also started giving you baby cookies this week. I'll have to post some pictures of you very soon. You had that stuff everywhere! Hair, chair, face, clothes, floor, nothing escaped. But you enjoyed it. You're drinking from your "sippy" cup with a little help. You can take drinks from straws and enjoy tasting our food.

You had your first finger food today! We had you sitting in your highchair and we gave you a biscuit and you just went to town. You had it all over your face, your hair, your shirt, your highchair, you name it. But you could tell you were enjoying yourself. Plus you drank water out of your sippy-cup...it was a strange taste to you, but you kept on drinking. Oh, and you've developed a little bit of a temper. If you don't get your way, you kind of pitch a little fit. Wonder where you got that from (Daddy...)

Today you, Granny and me went to your "Aunt" Debbi's wedding. You wore your Tommy khaki shorts, a wife-beater t-shirt and blue blazer. You were such a cute little yuppie! And of course, Mommy had your hair spiked. Everyone loved you. The photographer just kept taking your picture over and over. When we got ready to leave, he asked "who am I going to take pictures of now?". You were a little fussy cuz your teeth were bothering you (they still haven't come in yet), but you were still a joy.

Mommy put shoes on you for the first time today. You hated them! You were like "what the heck are you putting on my feet, woman?" You and I were going to have lunch with your Daddy so I dressed you up in this cute little frog outfit with matching sandals...your little chubby feet would hardly go in there. You kept trying to get them off. You were soooo cute. And of course, everyone at the restaurant thought you were the cutest.

You're such a trooper! You got your 6-month shots on Tuesday and even though your leg was hurting you yesterday (where they gave you your shots), you still started crawling!! Daddy got you on video so we can see it. But bless your little heart, you can tell you don't feel good. You try to be in a good mood, but sometimes you just can't be. Granny fed you meat for the first time today. It was Squash Corn Chicken. You loved it! You're getting to be such a big boy. You're growing up to fast for Mommie. I love you Smooch. I never knew you could make me so happy. And I never imagined just how much I needed you and your Daddy in my life.

You got your shots yesterday.
You were a champ! You only cried while you were on the table, even though they got a blood vessel and made you bleed! I picked you up and you stopped crying.
I hope that I'll always be able to do that for you.
You're a Great Son. Dad

We had a pretty low key Easter.
We spent the day at Granny Sander's house. We has a nice Easter dinner after Mom and Granny got back from church. The weather was kind of soggy. A cold front came in this weekend.
You looked so cute in your First Easter pictures. We'll have them up soon!

Granny and I took you to have your picture made with the Easter Bunny. You were so intringued with the bunny suit. You just kept wanting to rub your little hands over the fur. The guy taking your picture about flipped when he found out your name was Sterling. That was his name, too. He was your best bud after that.

After your picture, Granny and I did a little shopping and you just walked around with mommy in the Baby Bjorn. You were just smiling and flirting with everyone. We found some new foods that you hadn't tried yet at Kroger. I can't wait to see your reaction to these new tastes. So, far you seem to like everything.

Opening day at the Ballpark!

We had so much fun! Smoochie was all dressed up in his Rangers outfit;we were able to find a hat that fit him in the gift shop.

Our seats were the last row at the top, just past first base; they were great for the day. We were in the shade for most of the game. Mom fed you some and so did I. You took a nap for a while during the game.

Nothing seemed to bother you except when the B2 bomber flew over! I had to cover your ears during the boom. You made a lot of friends around us. The young couple next to Mom talked and played with you for a while.

We left a little early, but that was because the Rangers were kicking the snot out of the Angels! Yeah! You ate a meal in the car on the way home and took a nap. We ended the day at Granny and Granpa's house.

You're the Greatest, Smooch! Love, Dad

Today, Granny took you to the post office and she said you were the talk of the town. Everyone there was just 'ooo-ing' and 'ah-iing' you and telling her how cute you were. She said there was a man standing in line behind ya'll who wasn't paying attention to you so you would move and bend and twist until you got his attention and then when he finally looked at you, you got the biggest ol' grin on your face. You're such a happy baby, son. My hope is that you will always be this happy. We love you so much.

Today while Granny was feeding you, you tried to take off your bib. Granny gently told you 'no, no' and you just stopped, looked at her and then got the biggest grin on your face then you kept right on tugging. She told you 'no, no' again and you did the same thing. It was pretty funny.

I got to spend the day with Sterling on Sunday. Mom and Grandpa went to the NASCAR race. We watched on TV to see if we could find them, but no luck.
We had lots of fun; we played with his new aquarium and crawled around.
He was a joy all day long.
We tried to drink milk using a "sippie" lid and he took about 2oz before deciding to just play with it.
He had two new flavors of food; Mom was not to happy with me. Oops! He sure liked them though.

Hi, Sweetie...this is mommie's first post. Your Granny gave you some cottage cheese and orange jello today. You loved it. You would swirl it around in your mouth, swallow it and then open your mouth for Granny to give you some more. You were so cute. Love you.

Hey Debi! How does this look? jrm
