A Day at the Zoo...Plus a Little Something Extra
Saturday morning we started out wondering what to do.
How 'bout a trip to the zoo? We'll just buy a pass and spend whatever time we can there. No big loss because a pass pays for itself in the long run.
Well we load up and move out. It's partly cloudy, a couple of sprinkles on the way, but by the time we get there it's HOT. So we bought our tickets & our water and marched about 50 yards inside the gate.
We found in the Children's Zoo are there was a stream for kids to play in. He loved it. We got some great pictures. He had a quick hotdog while playing in the "mister".
Time was running out so we pet a rabbit and a Guinea pig, looked at a pig and chickens, gazed at some very large "Goldfish". I think they were some type of Koi.
Then off to "Old MacDonald's", you know, the cool one that has animals coming out of the building, with a jungle theme inside and a whole lot of overstimulated kids! Yeah, that's where we spent about another hour before it was time to go home for a nap. We had more adventure planned for the day.
...unfortunately I forgot to update the post and forgot what we did.
I'll need to look at our pictures to see if we did anything else that day

Summer Begins!
The summer is off to an exciting start.
On Memorial Day, we went to the "Sander's" side, family ranch near Gouldbusk, Texas.
Sterling made the trip there with Granny and Grandpa. I think this was the first extended trip he has made without Mommy or Daddy. He was very excited and the Grandparents enjoyed creating a memory. He was without Mommy and Daddy for almost an entire day.
He spent his time looking at wildlife and playing with his cousins, S. and C. I think he really enjoyed his Jeep ride with Uncle B. and Grandpa. He said that Uncle B. is a "crazy driver"! Aunt S. brought him "Magic" Markers and coloring books. He had as much fun inside as outside. Daddy almost got bit by a snake the first night and was stung by a wasp the next morning.
He started going to Little Gym just before the holiday. The class we started with involved the parents. We go in, sing songs, learn motor skills, and practice social skills. He loves it! Quite the show off our son. We stay in the circle and he gets to do what he wants. Once he climbed up the steps (used to mount beams & bars) to annouce, "Ladies and Gentlemen!" I think the other parents got a kick out of it. He started his newest class this week, Super Beasts. This class is more of his age group with higher skills. Once again he's very excited. I've never seen him run so much! This is after a day with Granny and Grandpa. The next day he was pooped.
It's a start.
